yeah this is true. i thought about getting mine declawed because the entire apartment is covered in this cheap carpeting and he has tore it to shit. i spent all day yesterday cutting all the runs in the carpet cause i can't afford to replace it haha but my cat is cool as shit he literally sleeps all day (when he isn't busy attacking my hand or eating or tearing my carpet to hell)

There are multiple ways to do it. Some more humane than others. Ultimately they are so young they don't even notice. And I have two cats, clean the litter twice a week without a problem. 6-day automatic feeder plus water feeder jug equals easiest pet to take care of.

Think it's inhumane regardless of how it's done  But, if the cat is destroying your house, it's either that or another pound kitty....

Beg to differ Susan. Both of ours are declawed in the front. Was done win they were 12 weeks old. It only messed them up for 48 hours or so. They got fixed at the same time. They are strictly indoor cats & they can't destroy anything. :D
    Or multiply...

It's totally inhumane. I have four cats that I just got recently. All my prior ones I took to the vet and had their claws trimmed. I also know how to train a cat with a spray bottle of water and give them plenty of scratching posts. I've never had an issue. Cats take time and patience but they can be trained.

Thank you for fixing them. :D Humans are the only reason we have an over population of animals. I know your intent is to keep your kitties inside but what if they accidentally got outside? :(

I would argue having part of my manhood chopped off when I was a kid was inhumane, but I don't remember.
