I just purchased a 2006 Toyota Tacoma AccessCab SR5 - TRD yesterday. The truck has TRD seat covers which I attempted to remove last night to clean. I found that once you take the headrest off, you need to remove the plastic clip on the top of the seat to remove the seat covers. I tried multiple methods (not brute force yet :) ) and was wondering if someone could tell me the proper technique to remove these clips.

    Thank you!

I don't think you remove them...You just pull the seat cover hard to one side and pull it over the corner then pull it over the other side...

Thanks for the reply. The hole in the seat cover fits firmly over the rectangular raised metal piece once the plastic clip is removed. There is no play that would allow me to stretch it.

Thanks for you help. I tried once again and was able to stretch it over the plastic clip. Wow...why do they make these covers so difficult?

    Thanks again!
