    What are some good common spare parts to have stocked with the tools that are most likley to break off roading or just good to have lying around? Specs: 1996 4x4 2.7l automatic 122k miles. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Unless you go nuts (seems unlikely) when you go wheelin, its unlikely you will break anything so bad you can't get back home.

    Your new truck is pretty much bulletproof for most reasonable off-roading. Now if you decide to join us at Moab and go do some of the "Difficult" rated trails you may want to consider bringing a space CV axle and a u-joint. :rolleyes:

    haha thanks for the reassurance. Well the holidays are coming up and im throwing out gift ideas and i wanted to put together a 4x4 box. In my mind i had a big tupperware container with a full set of screwdrivers, wrenches, hex keys, ratchets, extra fluids, common spare parts, and simple recovery gear. It could double as my personal mobile tool box and when i start going on overnight wheeling trips just throw the whole box back there and ive got all of the important stuff with me.
