I've made 24 set of "L" brackets designed to move the 7 pin trailer connector harness to a safer location.
I used Galvin's (Ilovetacos) method and it has worked great for me.
The thread can be found here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/114216-diy-relocate-trailer-harness.html#post3316038

a batch im prepping for paint

This method is completely bolt on and takes minutes to install.
The Aluminum L brackets will come spray painted black and with the extra bolts needed for the install.

    Temporarily sold out

nice work. i have a back up light plugged into mine that i really like, and i dont offroad heavily so i dont need one.

if someone were to go to home depot and but some brackets, bolts and paint they would pay very close to $20 so i say great deal

How low would the harness hang down once plugged in?

This is the only pic I have to show the plug. The trailer hitch and ball will hang lower that the plug. The hitch will hit before anything else when towing.

    Stock. Purchased 2/17/19. Cement!
I agree. It looks great. Too bad there is no locking mechanism to allow it to fold over. I also have a light in there but do like to off road. Good luck. It's at a reasonable price as well.

Thanks for the compliment, It's hard to get yourself to spend on preventative mods but it pays off in the long run.

Could you ship this to a military APO address? It is like a stateside address so pretty much the same cost, you just need to fill out a customs form.

I can send some extra $ if needed...thanks!

Totally productive day. Swapped out the chrome (won't take you home) bumper for a silver Mica OEM bumper. Then mounted the new trailer hitch pin with your mount!

It's OUTSTANDING. I had already bent the metal bracket that holds the 7 pin. So I straightened that up, and bolted it on. It's in MUCH better location and much less susceptable to being smashed by an Arizona boulder - LOL!

Thanks again ! Well worth the investment and piece of mind!
