I have all Traxxas: 1/10 Summit, 1/10 Rustler VXL and 1/10 Slash 4x4 Ultimate with Mamba Monster ESC. Multiple RPM upgrades. Run LiPo's in all of them.

I'm about to get leather and sunroof installed in the Tacoma but I'm tempted to save some of that $$$ for the soon to be released XO-1...crazy fast RTR, 100MPH out of the box (after unlocking with iPhone) that works with iPhone app for telemetry....gotta have it for Christmas:

    ^ lol

the limit in making rc cars go faster and faster is that it has to be able to get up to speed too fast.
otherwise, the driver will have to be so far away he can barely see, much less, control the car.

i don't see much happening there...you can't even "chase it" with a normal vehicle

What kind is that? Looks a little older. I have lots of parts for an old OFNA Hyper 7 and an older OFNA MBX R2

Its an Ofna Ravanger (thats what mine is called), its definitely an older design. I'm hoping to save up for Team Durango's DNX408 or wait until the DNX408T is released.

apparently they are still working on it. The current record is like 164 mph. I remember reading about this in RCCA when they first started doing these types of speed runs and they were doing it at a dragstrip and the drivers used a scissor lifts to get them up high enough

Meh, go for a hpi Blitz. More durable and much more scale looking.

So, had a big "RC fest" this weekend. Myself and a friend both have SC10's and he has a JATO as well (I ended up buying the JATO off of him). We started off messing around with our SC10's at the local skate park. He just happened to have a 2s lipo on hand. made that truck haul ASS. That is, until he jumped and landed with the throttle wide open and tore the rear bulkhead out and twisted an axle...

So, of course, we put the lipo in my truck. I ran the piss out of it for a solid 20 minutes AND THE CONNECTORS MELTED TOGETHER. The battery had a DEANS on it, but we were running a Tamiya adapter so it would work on our trucks. (yea, that's where we messed up.) THEN, we got the JATO out.

The jato hadn't been run in a while, but with a little persuasion it started right up. Unfortunately, both the throttle and steering servos were moving extremely sluggishly rendering it more or less, undriveable.

I've decided I'm gonna get both the SC10 and JATO in good running condition and sell them.

Gonna use that money to get a full-size summit. :D

Receiver pack? as in power supply for the receiver? it's just running on 4AA batteries. I put new ones in, didn't seem to help. I've heard a lot about traxxas servos sucking nuts. The throttle servo mounts are broken, anyway. So, I'll most def get one of those. I guess it needs a steering servo as well... I just don't want to pour too much money into it because I want to sell it. As it stands i've just got $100 in it. It needs a new air filter, for sure. Everything but the servos seems to be fine, with one exception. There's a dent in the exhaust pipe right where it comes off the engine. Pretty big dent to. I'm gonna try to just push back out, but we shall see.
