Also I wanted to mention... There seems to be a decent number of you guys in CA that are ordering... I don't quite have the time to go through and see who's close to who (I realize its a big state) but if you guys decide you want to do a group ship to save on shipping let me know and I can reconfigure your shipping costs.....

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Speaking of install, what does everyone use to coat their skids?

I use the rattle can rubberized undercoating you can pick up at most auto-parts stores.

I used to use regular rattle can paint, but have discovered the undercoating goes on just as quick but doesn't scrape off as easily. I consider POR to be too much work.

Eventually you will get scrapes and rust. Wire brush or grinder with a flap disk to knock off the rust, then touch up with whatever you like.

I'm less aggressive about touching up my skids because they get beat up more than the other armor, and they're thicker metal than most all other armor. Once a year or so I get under the truck and touch 'em up. The rest of the time I just leave 'em beat. Helps show anyone under the truck that it's the genuine article and not a street queen :)

Ah, dude, I AM! I jut paid for shipping since I thought eveyone was up North. Maybe Kevin can give us a total for the shipping and we could split the difference and $145 I've already paid. Sound good? Anyone else from L.A.?

Btw the rest of the info here on skid upkeep is great!!

I checked real quick on group shipping just as a ball park. In order for it to actually be worth it we would probably have to send them via Fastenal in which case you guys would have to pick it up at a local store. Let me know if you guys decide you want to try that and I'll get some pricing. Obviously the more in on a group ship the better since it splits to costs up more.
