Looking into buying a air intake wondering if there is really a difference in performance vs price in :
    prices quoted from Amazon/ebay
    K&N - cost = $189.00
    Injen - Cost = $196.00
    AEM - Cost = $145.00
    spectra - Cost = $146.00
    others? Cost ?

No. Best off keeping the OEM intake, unless you like a louder sound.

TRD intake. It still sounds good while sucking in air from the fender well unlike any of the others. The others suck in hot air from the engine bay.

Yeah, sorry. I have a 2010. I want to go TRD but I don't have the cash to do it yet. That particular amount of cash went to JLee, actually. Damn group buys. lol

I have had an AEM cold air intake system on my truck now for about 6 years and have no problems with it at all. it makes it sound beefy at an idle and gets pretty damn throaty when you get on it.
