TRS HID Wiring help

I have the bixenon mini d2s setup on my first gen... the wiring harness that came with the kit seemed plug and play but i cant figure it out.

The HID's come on but i cant get the high beams to work

Im getting frustrated so i started trying different things and managed to get the passenger side to work correctly but the drivers side high beams still didnt work right

anyone have any pointers

check to make sure your wires around switched on your solenoid hookup?

 

well there is no loose connections...

the solenoids are both working because i can make them work by switching wires around

but its still not correct so apperently i dont have something wired to the right spots

i have the positive to positive terminal negative to negative terminal... then I have OEM input going to the drivers side low beam and negative spot the low beam to there respective ballasts.... and the solenoid wires go to the high beam slot and negative slots

 

I called TRS and they told me that there is an incompatibility issue with the older tacomas and there wiring harness... so i have to send back the harness and they will send me the correct one to solve the issue

 

Yeah kinda sucks... but i think i was talking to matt (not sure) and i already got an email with all the return information so it shouldnt take to long

I have finals this week so i havent sent the wiring harness back yet but I'll probably be sending it back tomorrow

 

this^ also which wire is for your high beam solenoid? is it the old style plugs or the duetsch style connector? if it's the old school trs miniature plugs they take some fiddling to get right if you have the duetsch style connector you might just have the wires crossed.

 

what was the problem the harness or the projector?

 

It was the harness... I got in on an earlier group buy before they figured out that the harness was incompatible with my year Tacoma, pretty much bad luck on my part

 

that sucks man once you get the right one it's a straight forward install and you will love your new retrofit

Yeah im happy with the retro all ready and its not done haha... thanks its an ELITE bumper tim makes them for both 1st and 2nd gens
