Anyone else into Mustangs? This one is a retired Pensacola PD car and is bone stock, except for the Flowmaster cat back and Flowmaster X pipe.

i saw one where the guy chopped the roof and lowered it, looked sexy!

man im not a mustang nut, but i have to say the fox body is the least good looking. but like i said, if i had to buy one (obviously under financial restriction), i would buy a 5.0 in that body style hahaha. i just love the sound and speed of those cars.

i'm not really a mustang guy either but if my dad would have given me his i definitly would have been, plus i'm a valet so i've basically driven every mustang there is and the new 5.0 are DIRTY!
to get back to the body, if i had one i would work a kit onto it b/c the after market is huge for them BUT i'm Yoter guy so now car for me anytime soon

I'm a Mustang guy, but I'm more into the older ones. This is my '65. It's currently undergoing a chasis rebuild and will end up with a 9 inch rear w/ 3.55's, slightly lowered suspension, 4 wheel disc, 17" Torque Thrusts, and 5 speed. Up in the air whether I'll keep the 289 or move to a 302 (or stroker). Been on jackstands for a year, with probably 3-4 more years to go...depressing.

Thanks, appreciate it. It's a long process, but I enjoy doing as much as I can myself. Any kind of machine work, etc. I have to farm out, but I do all installation.

OP, that's a clean Fox body. I actually really like the Fox generation, especially considering the performance you get for your buck. Looks like you got a nice car!

I had a 1984 5.0 5 speed convertible. I liked the car a lot. It had a LOT of oil leaks, so I rebuilt the engine. I went nuts with the heads, bore, big carb etc etc and put an E303 cam in it and could barely drive it. It was absolutely insane. LOL I sold it to save myself a ton of tickets. Your car looks sweet!

    Thanks for the complements.
I hold a special place in my hear for old foxbodies because when I was in high school these were what was around and being modded. With this one being an AOD and completely stock with 2:73 gears, I really dont feel like imbarrasing myself at the track... :) This one is a garage queen and only taken out on sunny days.

I wanted to but got an offer I couldn't refuse before I had the chance. I would definitely have needed to upgrade the clutch and brakes before racing it. It was pretty wild.

With it being a SSP (Special Service Package) it will hold it's value more if I leave it stock. The only thing I have planned is 3:55 gears though.

Never had one, driven a 69 that is in the family a few times. It's sweet, but the fox body is my favorite. The LX model looks better than the GT with the ground effects IMHO.

this is true, the LX could possibly be considered sleepers because you wouldn't expect so much power in such a little package
