    Have you tried using the 3M film that came with the Husky flaps? In my case the OEM flaps had only been on the truck for about 3000 miles, so they had not had a chance to scratch the paint, and I was able to clean the fender with a rag to remove the black mark around the old outline.

    I tried this thinking it was just a film of dirt after couple of passes with a microfiber towel it was still there. I ran my finger cross it and sure enought you could feel that it was a groove all the way down my fender flare. :(

    3) Damn Toyota, I wish they had thought about paint protection, I have a nice 6 inch paint rub at all four corners, like some others have mentioned.
    4) Fit is pretty much spot on.

    These are good mud guards, but I had serious issues when putting them on. Many of the pre-drilled holes were out of position be a half inch or so, and I had to break out the drill to make new ones and "ovalize" some others. Did anyone else have this problem?

    I was about to put them on when I saw the directions for the paint protection film. Did you boys do as it says and use soap and water? Being that its cold and damp here now, the film would take a bit to dry so I'll have to wait until it's warmer or use a dryer/heat gun.

    I could see the reason for the film though, good thinking on Husky's part.

    Just wiped the area off and stuck them on there. It's going to have the mud guard covering it and holding it to the body, so even if it thought about coming loose it would be held there. But the film is sticky as hell and shouldn't peel for a long time.

    Got them yesterday and stayed at work late to put them on... They look great and fit great as well. A couple of the holes on mine were off slightly. I reused the old bolts and a couple had to be started but loose while it was mounted then all snugged up at the same time. The middle ones on the front flaps had to be started at an angle but then tightened up nicely. I didn't use the film provided, as my truck already has stuff there from the factory. Much cleaner look than factory. Very pleased!

    Got mine installed a few days ago. Really like the looks and seem to be good quality. Best of all no more rubbing even with my 285s! :yay:
