So earlier today i was driving at about 70mph on the freeway and i was using cruise control just fine. I parked, then hopped back in after about an hour and started driving, i got back on the freeway and was driving about 65mph and noticed that my ABS light came on, then i turned on cruise control and went to set it at 65mph and it wouldn't stay at 65mph!!! I tried turning it on and off, and still the cruise control doesn't work.

Ohh and i have a scanguage and it wasn't giving me any codes, What's up with my truck???

that's what i was thinking, but i wasn't 100% sure why the abs would make the CC not work.

Check your battery. My truck threw a shit load of lights when my battery was dying. And the abs was first to come on.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.

A weak alternator can do the same thing.

Really? Huh I didn't know that, I'll check both of them. What makes it weirder is that i drove it this morning and my Abs light was off and my CC worked, now hopefully it'll work for my drive home do i can check it out.

so for the past couple days it would keep going on and off, and now it's staying on. The battery is fine and I'll check the alternator and fuse tomorrow, other than that i think it could just be a dirty sensor.

i haven't gotten the chance to do much lately since i have finals coming up, but i did figure out that the abs light will only come on when i turn on my headlights. So if i start my truck with the headlights off there will be no abs light, then turn on my headlights and on comes the abs light. And if i turn my headlights back off the abs light will stay on until i turn off my truck... WTF is wrong? this is starting to piss me off

Check your fan belt. If it is loose, your alternator could be slipping with the lights on and causing the low voltage condition to cause the ABS light. I've had a vehicle in the past with a loose fan belt and would discharge the battery only when the lights were on.

So, turns out there was a short in my left brake light, which in turn, when my headlights were turned on, tripped the abs light
