When I was 19 I had a fling with a 28 year old. It didn't last more than a couple months. Primarily because I was really still a kid. I was with my wife for 11 years before we got married. Then it was a few more before we had our daughter. Give it some time. I've got way more toys now (and they are all paid for) than I did when I was in my 20's and it's not because I'm wealthy. It's because I'm patient.

If you're selling the truck to pay for the wedding, just do a cheaper wedding.

My new-ish wife at first wanted a $10k+ wedding on the beach. It would have been lovely. However, we found a beautiful location on a family property for a wedding that was almost as visually appealing and did most of it ourselves. I think all said and done we spend less than $2500 (including feeding the guests), and it was a really, really nice wedding. We had a lot of people that helped out though, too.

The average wedding apparently costs $27k these days. Ridiculous! If you have that to spend on a wedding for ONE DAY, put that into a house payment or retirement fund. Don't spend your way into the poor house for a wedding. The really sad thing is there are a lot of couples out there that don't finish paying off the wedding before they get divorced. :(
