    Bandit with a mount on the rear like that, it might mess with your SWR since the best readings come around the center of the vehicle. I looked into it untill I read that on firesticks website. Then again on trails it wouldnt matter, I just chat with trucks on the interstates sometimes when I get bored.

    Maybe that is my problem with it. i can't even get a reading when i tried it there but i have a camper shell so that was the only place for the rear that worked.

    parts and stuff
    U want the antenna right in the middle of a large piece of flat metaql to be optimqal. Problem is with our trucks that is the roof or the hood. 1st gems have the bed to but with ours being composite, it sucks. That's why u gotta ground it really well or use a no ground plane antenna

    im using the ATO mount and just ran a ground to the brake line bracket right in front of the rear wheel well. have had zero issues with any of it. never even tuned the thing and get pretty good distance. prob gona go with a roof mount in the future. have some plans i wana do in the future as soon as ryan gives me all my money :spy:

    Good so far. They've been kickin my ass, but I'm keeping a positive attitude and finishing every evolution to my best effort. Just got done with my psychological interview. Went well. Have a pretty intense day tommorow, to include two boards and loads of PT.
