Look what this site has done to my truck!!!

Figured I'd post up a little photographic chronological history of my truck's mods (inspiration credit goes 100% to the members of this site)!!!

Truck as it sat stock:

2009 Access Cab (Black Sand Pearl) 4x4 SR5 MT 6spd:



First Mod was a UWS tool box..and OEM bed mat:




Had the dealer throw in a hitch as part of the deal!


Second mods: weather techs and vent visors (sorry no pics of the weather techs yet)



added the leather arm rest DIY and a set of wet okoles:











Next was a GPS:



After reading up on this site i brought her in for the rear leaf and stut TSB: (struts later replaced with a suspension lift)






....then got creative with my engine and fuse box cover:

Tried the lamin-x yellow fog film but took it off later...



Next came interior LEDs in all map and dome lights, as well as additional cup holder, footwell, and console lights:

















All wired up to an OEM switch in the dash:

Then a set of aux back up lights as well as bed lights and lights for the tool box:

Then i added a custom rear platform and leather rear seat back mod: The platform is removable, but i keep it in most of the time to hold my dog, gear, groceries etc...the leather seat back mod was done using the same method as the arm rest:







Then came the "poor mans" version of sound deadener from home depot. I could not afford dynamat this stuff seems to work pretty good though!










Then added the switch on the rearview mirror for the back up cam anytime mod:



Then came the satoshi:















After the satoshi came hella 500's!!:

Wired up to another OEM switch:








......after all this it was time to work on the exterior (new wheels and tires):
BFG 265/75/16 AT's and AE wheels (16's)

Went with an OME 3 inch lift kit and TC upper control arms. (Alignment is dead on) I do however have a slight vibe coming from the front diff ...got to have the dealer look at that...I am not a very good mechanic, so if anything looks off on this lift, please let me know:

Amazing work and awesome pics!! The last two, of course, are my favorites!! The dog is certainly ready to hit the trails!! May I ask, what aux backup lights did you use and did you wire them into the reverse only or have an aux switch to use camping, etc? Thanks for sharing your passion!!!

Wow, nice progress and great looking truck!

 

I just bought some 25$ pair from auto zone...they are hard wired to the battery so i can turn them on with NO keys in the ign. The bed lights and tool boxs lights are wired the same. sorry for some fuzzy cell phone pics...if anyone is thinking of doing any of these mods feel free to reach out and i can give some tips....except for installing the lift...my dealer did that.

PS...the dog is on the down low....she had a head on collision with my brothers lab (both trying to catch a frisbee out of the air...) and she nocked out a tooth!...if you look close, she pops up in quite a few of the above pics

How did you do your satoshi? I see the box from grillcraft but did you use your oem grill and cut, bondo, paint the lip? Or did the new grill surround come from grillcraft?

NICE EYE!!! it is indeed!!

 

I used my old grille surround....there is a memeber on here named "kipp" i think? i coppied his method buy using some of the plastic pieces from the grille surround that i had to cut out...to fill in the holes....then used bondo on top of that..
