    Hi,

Just went to the dealer and they told me that there is no light for the electronic mirror control in the truck...pretty inconvenient at night! Is this correct?? I have a 2011 Tacoma TRD

    Thanks all!!

I think he mean's this. OP why do you want it to light up? Not bashing just curious I'm sure you could rig up a led to go behind it.

Inside the truck on the left hand side of the driver's dash, there is a mirror control (for right and left) but it does not light up at night...is this normal?? I have had lights on all my cars...what's up with that??

How often do you have the need to adjust your mirrors? I can't even remember the last time I touched mine.

dont ajust often, just new to the truck...was going to the dealer and trying to iron out the little issues such as ticking ac motor, driveline vibrations, 4wd no light, mirror ajust no light...! Still adore the truck!

What did they say about the ticking a/c motor?? That thing has been driving me nuts...though that clears it up, its not just in my truck.

for the ticking motor, I found out on this site that there is a TSB out for that...hoping it is covered. My truck is at the dealer right now...I will know tomorrow. that was driving me nuts. I took the service manager out for a drive to make sure they could not say that they could not find it.

It seems simple enough to me but it's your truck man  also try searching to see if there are any other mods you want to do that have a write up for them. In the top right hand corner under your username thing is the search function. Have fun spending all of your money!

Believe me...the link that was posted to light up your 4x4 switch is easy to do and the customer support is awesome...you can't go wrong!! I had the same question when I bought my truck after seeing the mirror, foglight, and 4WD switches didn't light up.

Update....just got back from the dealer. They changed the ac blower motor under warranty...supposedly a problem for many. As for the driveline vibrations, they said that it was due to the lift kit...no luck with getting this fixed.
