    Hey guys
All pro bumper on! REALLY happy with it!

Glass on the front (still stock in the back)
Glass was a real deal no thanks to the manufacturer:mad:
    (not mentioned here on purpose)

But the Guys at Taos Off Road did me proud!!
They fixed it up real nice!!

So the Goal per my previous post is LT.

Now that I've recovered financially to get here I'm ready to start on the Suspension.

Currently Heading toward a set of 33" G.Grabbers

Gotta keep bed intact for work, Camera Gear.

As I posted before I'd like to get to LT. as my budget will allow.
Can I get there without buying two sets of everything?

Seems like a lot of the LT guy's have bought multiple sets of parts to get there.
Thanks again for all your help:)
    Looking forward to LT journey.
Don't worry lot's of pic to come,

How bout a shot straight from the front with the wheels straight? I'd like to see if the track width looks funny with the wide fenders.

    Glassworks?

glass never fits perfect and usually requires tough love to get the lines to line up. that's the nature of the beast, that's not the manufactures fault.

what do you mean when you say buy mulitple sets of parts?

I knew the glass would take some work, no sweat.
The problem was the glass was shipped damaged I have pictures,
and then totally unresponsive after more calls than I can count.

Well I'm sittin' stock now. I'd like to get some shocks all that would take me ultimately
    to a LT setup.
I can't financially do it all at once so how would you recommend forward, do the longer
    struts require UCA and LCA.
How are those Icons treating you Matt?
I'm thinking of doing what you did, in terms of progression.

The other thing is I really need to keep

Obviously the grabbers fit, they look great on your truck! Your build was where I decided to go with those tires.
    How are they wearing?

The Bumper and the glass are touching each other:mad:

I'm sure I'll have to chop somthin' out, but the bumper is way worth it:)

I'll shoot the contact point next time I take pictures. sot you can see it.

the lack of contact you experienced from Tim was a result of them being at a race and not at the shop. i know it's annoying, especially when the stuff you paid for show's up damaged.

my icons and grabbers are great. my alignement is pretty bad right now and my grabbers are showing no signs of bad wear. score! lol

the problem with long travel is you can't really build it in stages while it's on the truck. you can gather parts and leave them in your garage... that's what i did, but then i sucks to see all that money everyday sitting on the floor and not on the truck.

LT kits for our trucks use an 8" coilover shock. this shock is too big to fit on stock length arms with out bumping and straping the stock arms to prevent over extension and ball joint failure. and the stock replacement shocks are far too short to use on a LT kit...

    Thanks!
Could I get away with an 8" shock if I just do the UA's
and do the lowers and extensions.

Thinking of Deavers on the rear, like Jason has...
Would that give me enough room for the 33"s

Don't bother with the 8" shocks until you go LT. You'll end up preloading the shit out of them to get them to squeeze in and you'll have to strap them to keep from overextending (very easy to do with that much preload) and busting the ball joints. Just save your money.

"Deavers" is kind of a loose term. There are several flavors. Matt and I both have the 62" Deaver f67 leaf pack for SUA setups.

You're problem with clearing 33's won't be the rear. You can clear a 33 on a stock rear suspension. It's the front you'll need to be handy with a hammer and grinder to make work without rubbing.

    Yea,
    that's what I thought.
so should I just stick it out with another shock until I've got all the bread to LT all at once?

I need tire's and shocks now. I'd like to put the 33"s on.
Could I get an 8" shock in with just the UCA's.
then do the lowers and extensions as I have the bread?

i think your confused. the stock replacement arms and long travel arms are totally different. long travel arms are 3.5" longer than stock (if we are talking about camburg or total chaos). you can not install a long travel upper arm and keep a stock lower, just like you can not use an after market uni ball style stock replacement arm with long travel lower arms.

you can run an 8" SAW CO with stock arms, this will explain everything you need. IMO it's not worth it, but it's your call. keep in mind that article is from 2004.

    http://www.trailslesstraveled.com/viewarticle.php?id=34

what deaver pack are you refering to? like jason said, he and i both have the F67 pack which is a 61.5" spring under axle leaf set up with new front hangers, spring perches, shackles and shackles mount points, bump stops and bedcage. it's alot of work and alot of money to SUA. the J59 pack is the bolt in deaver pack for 1st gen trucks. you can fit a 33" tire easily with both set ups.

    ^What he said. :D

And to your question about UCA's, that's only removing 1 of the two ball joints from the equation. You still have the lower ball joint, which in our trucks, is not exaclty known for their "strength."

    Thanks Guy's for the advice

I know these are stupid questions for you guy's, but it's your fault for building Bad Ass trucks.

O.K. I'm gonna blow off the rear end for now..

I'm sure I'll regret it but I just ordered All Pro's Expedition Leaf Springs and they throw in some bili's to get it close on height.

I think with some extra bread left over I'll push myself to just suck it up and LT for real the front get my 33's in their, and adress the rear again in the future.

    Thanks again guys,
    More photo's to come!!

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    Everything they said haha.

And if you go in steps, like stock-mid travel- long travel, it just costs more money. Keep that in mind.

But I do have some 6 inch saw coilovers that can give you 3 inches of lift if you wanna buy them.
