THX but I should be good to go. Just need to download the NIC card driver from Dell and remove the wireless NICK card and the associated driver. ;)

I guess as far as PC's go this would be a PC 103 or 102 class. LOL

Running the CAT 5E cables was a PITA, but that is done. Time to put ends on the cables and hook them up.

I was reading last night on how to turn on Internet access on my TV and AVR, looks pretty easy as well. The hardest part will be reprogramming the Logitech Harmony 1 remote.

With a little luck, that is if he works for a corporation, his job will be abolished in August next year. The severance package might be a decent one. Then he can draw unemployment and Social Security FTW.

Your dad is smart to be looking at the possibilities this far out from August 2012.

    Zach,

I'm retired and I still work. How's that for confusing? I retired from the Army after 26 years and then went to work as a college vp. I'm 57 so I still have a few years to go until I pop smoke for the last time.

Any MILSURPLUS collectors here? I picked up a gorgeous Enfield No.5 Mk.I Jungle Carbine yesterday. Can't wait to put some .303 through it.[/QUOTE]
morning all: :rain: again. white stuff tonight.
had a enfield .303 years ago. bought at a grant's store for, I think $19.99. wish it had been the carbine. probablly would still have it.
a kid I know just made a good deal at a yard sale. milk crate full of ammo, 8mm mauser-12 ga. shot & slugs, and a bunch of .22's. also got the .22 rifle.
I think the rifle is a model 62 winchester trapper, in very good condition. total cost-$100. I believe this winchester is worth between $800-$1000. it's a pump W/ a hammer, and a lg. knurled screw on the side, which I think is for takedown.

guaranteed no deal like this at gunshows!

Your dad can go onlineand find out some stuff also go to SS office and ask lots of ???. Tell him that he will get somewhere from 1000 to 1500 a Mo. not a lot but helps keep you going. Also he will be - 2% each year under 67. I lost 10% but its good for me as I was sick of the rat race, the dam rats were winning and I was tired of the run... Jim

I looked at the difference in benifits from age 62 till 66 and determined I would need to receive benifits for 12 years past 66 to make up the difference. It was a no brainer for me. I may go back to work in a few years but right now I am getting caught up on all the projects I let slide over the years. ;)
