Sport Model Fender Flare Question

So this impatient lady in a mini van tries to squeeze between me and the curb to get into the left turn lane.... Now I have a damaged left rear fender flare. Her insurance Co. is paying for the repair, but they want to fix the flare and repaint. A small area on the flare has had the paint scraped off down to the plastic, but it does not look like the plastic is deformed. My insurance Co. says the part needs to be replaced because it's plastic, and I agree.

My insurance co repair estimate says the fender flare comes pre-painted. Here's the part number - 75088-04100-J0. My Tacoma is Speedway Blue.

I am finding conflicting information on the web about it being pre-painted.

Can someone please confirm for me that this part comes pre-painted?

I am seeing price quotes on the net from various parts suppliers of around $350 for this part. Anyone know of a better price?

Fender flares do not come painted.

 

I'm pretty sure they come unpainted. I was rear-ended a couple years ago and had to replace the fender flare. The paint on the replaced flare is slightly different in texture from the original flares on the truck. They may come painted though, I'm not sure.

Ok, hears what I'm being told by the Toyota parts department.....

The part number of 75088-04100-J0 is specific to the X-Runner model, and it does come pre-painted.

When they enter in my VIN number, the system says the part number is not compatible with my VIN number, and the correct part comes unpainted.

So I guess the next question now is, does anyone know if an X-Runner fender flare will fit my DC Sport?

To the best of my knowledge, the X-Runner body kit fits over the standard body, correct?
