The only time I would go above a 15 inch rim is if the tire is 40 inches or bigger.

imo the 20's look better for a tire that big...

I agree with this, not only does it look more proportional, but you can also run larger brakes to help stop all that extra rolling mass.

im kinda in the middle. i guess i might be under the more tire category, but then again, i dont like 15" rims on 35" tires. in my opinion, 16" rims go best on 33's and 17" or MAYBE 18" rims go best on 35's

The smallest rim you can clear the brakes with if a smooth ride is what your after. It is not ment to be a sports car. 16.5-17 would be the biggest I would want to run.
I run 35x12.5x15x8 0 offset with an inch spacer. I had 10'' wide rims and broke a bead on a trail and needed starting fluid to re seat the bead up in Pillsbury. My alloy 8'' wide wheels are lighter and my brakes dont hit the floor as quickly when smashing down hills. I am sticking with the 8'' for now and keeping the 10'' wide wheels for later when I go to a 36x13.5 but the truck needs thousands of mods to support what I have @ this time and the 35's are brand new so I have a solid two + years at the rate I drive.

    This ^

More sidewall to protect wheels, better ride, tires are significantly cheaper, and just looks right/better on a truck thats going to see dirt.

I'm not going to pay more for less tire. 16in wheels = lower tire price, more sidewall and better look IMO. 78f1cab4_205b777ce1fc69d0e42b0f954d69f342ecd7e125.jpg
