Will 285 75 16s fit under my truck?

I just ordered up the 3" Toytec complete suspension lift with a 2'' AAL in the back. My question is will I be able to fit these under my truck with the TRD rims that came with the TX pro. I want to make sure the a 285/75/16 wont rub on the and suspension parts like the UCAs. I know ill probably need to do a little trimming inside but thats no big deal.

 

I'm not sure what the backspacing is on the TX Pro wheels but I thought i heard they are a 4.5" backspacing. If so, you should be able to clear your UCA's. You will probably have to remove your front mud guards as well as do some minor trimming up front.

 

Just check the back spacing. I believe it should be 4.5". If so then they will fit without rubbing the control arms. As for the tires rubbing be prepared for the fender flares, and possibly the cab mounts to get chopped.

I did the Downey coil over kit which is very similar to the Toytec kit and Light Racing upper control arms. I had to chop the body mounts, but I hate tire rub at all.

They are 4.5 that should work fine the pic didn't upload but I'm assuming your talking about the route. Ultimate lift? If so I am running that same lift on my txpro with 285 duratracs on stock wheels and the only time I rub is backing up and hitting a big bump with the wheel cranked at the same time. No trimming at all just had to remove the mud flaps. I did install the light racing uca too.

 

How necessary do you think new UCAS are? Will the 3'' lift will throw off alignment bad enough to notice?

It's a little different than the ultimate but looks pretty much the same as far as height adjustability you should be ok, the guys at toytec are great you can also call and ask them they'll tell you what there experience has been one of the gentlemen spent a good hour on the phone with me discussing parts before I bought mine I went in down and looked at the taco they have there too that's actually how I made the choice on which lift to buy.

 

how much did you spend on the install if you dont mind me asking? I am waiting on a quote right now from the local shop

 

Most people I know that got at least a 3" lift had to get aftermarket UCA's to get their alignment back to factory specs so you might want to look into getting some.

I spent $600 for my installation but that included the 5100's all around, 885's up front, rear AAL's, TC UCA's, wheels, tires and a front end alignment.

 

i did it myself it took about 4 hrs and was the first lift ive ever installed, if you get pre assembled coilover the install is very easy. just had to take it in for alignment and tire install after.
