Pogi has a nice looking 3.5" lift with CST spindles.....
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/187094-cst-spindle-lift-awesome.html
Don't know much about CST....I think they're new and may be imported.

If I had a Prerunner, I'd go spindle lift and probably use one of the proven brands like Total Chaos or Camburg.
For the rear, since I'd be at + 3.5" in the front or so, I would go with a custom leaf spring pack from Alcan to give me the rake I wanted.
I would aim for clean springs with no preload, blocks or spacers !

alcans are 600 shipped or so but will build exactly what you want, CST is not new, just new to toyota's.

I'd get the oakleytrd shock from down south motorsports. It is made specially for Tacomas
And all pro springs or OME dakars

Go direct to Alcan for the springs.
They quoted me $263 each plus shipping so $600 pr. to your door is about right.
I wouldn't order them yet unless I knew exactly what amount of lift I wanted.
You're not going to know that until you get your front dialed in.
Alcan will tell you what measurements they need.

I didn't recommend All Pro or OME Dakar for the rear springs because they're a shelf item and it would take
sh!thouse luck to get the right height to match your front spindle lift (3.5" or so). The shelf stuff is not geared to that height.
If you went with a shelf item you would probably have to add a block to dial them up to what you need.
The Dakar does have an optional extra leaf that might be a possible solution without a block. Still guesswork, though.

The Alcans will get you dialed if you give them the correct build data and their pricing is reasonable for what you are getting. They have a good rep.

For vendors for the rest of the lift (spindles, shocks, etc) I would look no further than : (in no particular order)

    Downsouth Motorsports
    Wheeler's Off Road
    Toy Tec

Don't forget to ask for your Tacoma World discount.
Hell, ask for a military discount, too !!!
Keep your head down and get back here !!!

    Thanks!!!

    That's OK about All-Poo
Would be nice with Alcan, though.

You should just get adjustable bilstein 5100s for the front if you want the look and improved ride quality for 2nd gens.

    2005+ is 2nd generation.

Personally, I'd go with a spindle lift up fron and a new leaf pack with some rear bilstein 5125s for the back.

spindles shouldnt be too hard to install and require regular shop tools... there is a lot to disassemble but as long as you take your time you'll be fine.

front bilstein 5100s will require a spring compressor... basically any front combination of springs will require a spring compressor (you can rent them but they are dangerous).

if you don't want to deal with the custom springs you can just pick a set off the shelf however most are only 3" while most front spindles will lift about 3.5" to 4" so you will end up with a slight forward to back rake.

Spindles do not require new front shocks nor Upper control arms... so you will be good, you can always add these later when you have more cash...

speaking of cash... you're in Afghanistan and you have now cash... wth, best time to save the dough...
