LARGER TIRE ON STOCK RIM

well sometimes you gotta take somebodies word. why would i lie about putting 285/75/17 on my truck and why would i lie that it barely rubbed? i dont have a reason to so if you want to keep on going on with this we can i dont have anything to hide

 

I take the word of the dozens of other people who have said that they DID rub.

I'm not calling you dishonest, but how can I overlook the overwhelming majority? I can't in good conscious tell someone that they will work when so many have reported first hand that they do not.

 

they work if you trim i didnt have to trim any metal like alot of people do on the cab mounts. trim some plastic and your good to go for everyday driving and some offroading

 

But most people report that the rubbing is on the uca itsself. This likely has to do with how aggressive the sidewall of the tire is as well, so maybe the curvature of the sidewall of your particular tire aided in clearance. I think you just had the perfect combo.

And a lot of people can't get 285/75/16s to stop rubbing even with a lift when they articulate the suspension offroad.

 

very true. thats why i put the 1/4in spacer on. and i had load range E nitto terra grapplers. i rubbed more after lift than before

 

That's incredibly confusing, the lift part. I'm trying to think of what would be moved into a less-desirable position after the lift.

no we hardly ever "talk" this is the main extent of our conversations.
