    I picked up the Uniden Pro 520xl at Fry's new for $40 mounted where the ashtray used to be. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles but does the job. Has a PA system, noise limiter, squelch, and rf gain settings. Just make sure to get a quality antenna because it makes a big difference. I have the 3 ft. Firestik firefly mounted on my toolbox.

    Some might say ditch the CB and get HAM. Yeah I got a HAM radio as well as my FRS radios. Better to have more comms than no comms. Let me see if I can find pics of the CB setup.

    That's a negative. I misread the website info and realized later that it didn't fit my truck. In fact, they don't make any for a db cab 1st gens. So my only option is supertopper.


    So I passed the deal off to MJ. I'm wondering if he picked it up yet.....
