A Canadian for sale thread is a great idea for Canadian buyers, terrible for Canadian sellers. I have sold tons of crap on forums/ebay/kijiji and besides local sales, 95% was sold to the states.
I think if we had a Canadian forum it would vastly limit sales because most American buyers wouldnt even look.

The other thing is; do you buy an item because its in a certain location or because it's the item you need to buy?

I would say both. I have had a full set of skid plates shipped from Thunder Bay and bought Items locally that i didnt really need but hey, i can drive 20 minutes and pick it up.

I say get this thread started!

A lot of the American sellers won't ship to Canada. Besides, we can put our items in the Canadian and American "for sale" threads.

If i want to buy from American I will just look in the original for sale section. I would rather buy locally, so 100% of the time i would check the Canadian for sale thread first.

    Agreed!

plus shipping kills you on a sale from the states.

Per forum rules you need a picture and a price for Canada if you are selling it. I think I have a few dollars in my pocket if Canada is still for sale.

You couldn't afford the maintenance fees. Health Care alone would swamp you.

Good point, I look into Mexico. It's has to be cheap to run a dump.

This might come in handy. Maybe he can export some stuff for me too. NAFTA can be a bitch. I live 20min and have a nexus and a po box in Lynden, WA. Last 5 times I've had over $400 bringing back and paid no duty. :p

Hit me up if you ever need help buying American parts or vehicles.

I do the same thing, but I'm about 1 hour from the border. It's still way cheaper. Going this weekend to pick up some new tires and mudflaps.

Any word on the Canada "for sale" thread?

A Canadian "for sale" thread would rock. I'm in Sudbury and looking for a canopy for '02 stepside, the shipping on that from the states would suck.

Hey...Anyone have a stepside canopy, cap, topper to sell? (it would be the canadian thread so I wouldn't have to put in "Camper Shell"...lol.)
