Oh I bet... Nice armory though... : )) just curious what made you prefer those over the 5.56 AR variant... I'm not asking for why it's better just thought I would get your take on why you prefer those...

Stopping power, and the ability to reach out and touch someone.. Dont get me wrong there are alot of really nice AR platforms out there, im just not a fan of the 5.56 round.. You can tell me all the ballistic data you want on it, but until you see what it actually does to a human body, no thanks I will take a 6.8spc or 7.62 anyday of the week..

Funny, trained with a former Unit guy last month who said he had no complaint re: 5.56. Different strokes I guess, but so far every guy I talk to or hear from in those types of units is pretty happy with the 5.56.

I have the same feelings and have heard the same thing from guys far more trained than I am about the 5.56 and the 9MM. No problem killing what needed to be killed. Yeah if you are shooting something 600 yards away the 5.56 might not be for you, but most small arms fights are not that far away. In my old age I would much rather tote 5.56 around.

I will give you that, 5.56 is a great round for CQB stuff, but I personally like the ability to reach out farther... I mean look at the korengal valley, thats where we are headed in the next few months.. Your not really in a CQB style area.. I guess the mission dictates what you need... Like I said the 5.56 is a great round and im not bashing it in any way, I just personally like the 7.62 round..

As for as unit guys, I guess it depends on who you talk to. I know the 5.56 will kill pretty much anything they face. I have a a few good friends that are " unit " guys and they are rocking the m468 in 6.8, they swear by it.. but the " unit " guys being a tier 1 spec ops unit have a never ending budget.
