All weather matts for 2012 Taco

Any recos for all weather mats - snow and rain - for a 2012 Double Cab? I hear the factory mats don't cut it for crappy weather.

 

I've heard the same. Mine will be coming with them, and I figure they'll work until the weathertech liners come out for the 2012's.

I just bought a factory set on ebay for now. Hopefully they'll hold me over.

 

I'm not impressed with the all weather mats that came with my '12. I really want WeatherTech floor liners however they don't offer them yet.

The Weather Tech floor liners for the 2011 Tacoma won't work with the new retention knobs for the 2012.

Ok so I'm sure this is a stupid question but how the heck do you install the driver and passenger all weather mats? I picked the all weather mats up today from the dealership as they didn't have them in when I purchased the truck. I can't figure out how to fit the clips needed for the drivers/passenger on the moveable locking device already on the floor. Am I supposed to somehow unscrew that moveable lock on the ground or what?

 

The piece on the floor, turn the top part of the clip so the long dimension is side to side. It turns either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Drop the mat onto the floor mounts. Turn the clip so it is front to back to lock the mat in place.

 

Well the clips that came with all weather mats are attached to this post (with a pic of the floor and a pic of the hole in the mat), and the floor looks like you described with the lock piece that can be turned clockwise/counter clockwise....there is just no way to fit the clips in the pic attached with that locking mechanism....the carpet mats that I had attached just like you described...any thoughts?

Sent request to weathertech, hate the toyo 2012 mats

 

I just removed the all-weather mats and put in the Weathertechs out of my 2011. The only problem is the small open hole where the old hooks went. Not sure I can see spending another $200.00 or so to get the right retention hooks. I may just put something underneath of those holes...

I also thought about somehow rigging the existing hooks to work with the old liners.. But I'm not sure that would be that easy.

huskyliners are nice...you remove the retention hook on the floor and they go right over.....no slippage at all.

 

bump do we have a recent place to buy some nice fitting all weathers for the 2012?
