I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab with the O/R package. I want to purchase a set of Mickey Thompson Classic Lock 16x8 and was told by 4 wheelparts that these will not fit my truck. I have done tons of research on this site and was pretty certain these would fit until talking with the sales rep. The sales rep said the smallest wheel would be 17" and that the 16" would hit my caliper. Anyone running these wheels, with stock suspension and tires, have any fitment issues?

    Thanks,

    Mike C.

These things bolted right up...came with lug nuts and new valve stems...wheelsforless.com had these on sale with free shipping, lug nuts and valve stems...ordered 13 Dec and they were on my doorstep today (15 Dec). Nothing but a positive experience with these folks....can't say the same for 4wp...very arrogant group of folks...

Word. 4WP doesn't know their head from their ass. I've heard of many running Mickey 16s on their 2nd gens. It's what I'm shooting for next.

i mean this in all seriousness.

if 4wp's tells you something assume they are completely 100% wrong and then search you self or call another vendor who can tell their ass from a hole in the ground ie, dsms or who ever really just not them lol.

wheels are about the only thing they make that i would even buy and they can't even get their shit together on that! it's not like your going to them with a lamborghini 4x4 from 1987 and asking what wheel works. your talking about a tacoma it has got to be one of the most popular pick up trucks ever.

basically they are douchers they don't stand behind their product most if not all of what they sell is complete shit imo. in the future you could save yourself the time of calling them for the wrong answer and call my house you can ask my wife things about the truck and what works and doesn't

Thanks for the responses! I am now even more confused than ever...the following is the response I received from the Mickey Thompson Rep:

4 wheel parts is correct they will not clear the caliper so the 17” is the smallest you can use.

    Thanks,

Don't worry if you ordered from 4wp they will mess up the order the first time and by the time you get the correct wheels it will be a few months.

HOLY CHIT!!!! You guys are not building a whole lot of confidence in me about my purchase from 4WP...Maybe I should cancel the order and shop somewhere else...I am leaving the country next month and would definitely like to have some new wheels for my truck before then!

    ^ this

4WP store tells me 16x8 Procomp 7032 won't clear calipers, and Method 301 will. 4WP national sales line phone person tells me 7032 will fit (but backordered until forever) and 301 definitely won't fit. Guess what- f procomp and the 301s fit. Just have them test fit them before you get the tires mounted. Easy return if they don't work.

The 0 offset Classic II will not fit around my 1st gen calipers. I had to go with -22 offset. I was talking to the guys at the shop and they said that different 2nd gen trim levels come with difference calipers. Could be why it fits on some and not on others. Not 100% sure about this info though. You may want to read into this more.

Alright, contacted 4wp and they told me shipping would be in about a week. But, after reading the above post and doing a bit of research, I don't think I will get my wheels until sometime after the New Year....So....I canceled my order with 4wp and found a vendor that had some chrome Moto Metal 951's 16x8 6/5.5 wheels in stock and on sale cheaper than the MT's..the wheels shipped today and should be here this week!!! I am leaving the country first week of January and don't have time to fool around with 4wp.

Thanks for the input and I will post up some pics when the new wheels arrive!!

Chrome isn't my cup of tea, but to each his own. The wheels themselves look great though
