In a relatively empty parking lot. There was a taco bell, sonic, and pizza hut nearby.

The antenna on the controller for my SC10. I can just buy a new antenna and screw it in, no prob.
My stuff is still the ancient AM 27Mhz junk. I need to change it out.

I think the chassis is bent a bit. The distance between the mounting points on the truck is shorter than the holes in the body... I can possibly bend it back. I really just want to get it back in selling condition so I can put more money in electric adventures. Nitro is fun, I'm just not ready for it.

It might have been some interference from those places, especially if there are any automatic doors near by or the batteries for the receiver were dead
I'd recommend this for a radio, I plan on getting this one when I can afford it (I have the OG Spektrum D3)

you should be able to bend it back enough to get it to work

I'm not even sure what that vehicle is, but, it's "appears" to have a composite chassis.

What charger do you have that puts out twenty amps? Is that "12S 3000A" or 12S 3000mah?

Probably a dumb question, but for a basher what do you guys think of a Duratrax Evader Truck? I like the price on them and they are (claimed to be) durable. Not sure if anyone has any experience with one or not... Or would I be money ahead to look for a Slash?

It looks pretty cool, but for $250 (brushless) you could get an SC10 RTR. That is probably the direction I am going to go after I am done getting my SCX10 where I want it.

They are two different trucks made for different purposes. The Evader is made for bashing. The SC10 is a racer. You can get the Evader and put your own brushless system in it and it will still be cheaper than a RTR SC10 and it will be a hell of a lot more durable.

I've only had 1 part break on my SC10 and that was completely my fault. There seems to be a very 50/50 opinion on these trucks for some reason. :notsure: I'm not calling you out or anything, I'm just saying that's not the experience I've had.
Granted, if I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now I would've gotten something with more ground clearance and probably 4WD. I love how great my truck handles though. Very easy to drive.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. My SC10 is tougher than woodpecker lips.

A brushed SC10 with a 2s 40C LiPo is unexpectedly fast. I figured it would be quick but... dayyum. If I were you, I'd spend the $50 more and get the 4x4 Brushless SC10. (I think they're just $300, I could be wrong.)

I wouldn't recommend the SC10 4x4 there have been plenty of issues with it

    I'd recommend Losi's TEN-SCTE

If you wanna race then Team Durango's DESC140r (not basher friendly tho)

What issues with the SC10 4x4, I'm about to pull the trigger on one. I ave no experience with this truck, but I've had one T, two T2s, two T3s and three T4s. Now the T4 is the least basher friendly, there still pretty damn tuff, I can't imagine the SC10 being that fragile with the body covering the wheels vs being exposed on the T4. Just my thoughts.

IIRC the main ones are the slipper clutch, people modding the trucks to fit saddle packs for better handling, lots of chassis flex, and stripping the belt gear

If you are gonna race, look at the DESC410r... Its one of the more balanced racers out there

But there have been plenty of people happy with the SC10 4x4. Check out the thread at RCTech. If you get the kit version look into tekin's Pro4 motor and paired with tekin's RX8 and the saddle pack conversion (it uses B44 parts)

Must not be all that, Associated SC10 took the Roar National Championships, in 2010 and 2011. Now, I have read the SC8 had some belt issues.
