Thanks, but you built it... I only painted it...

I did not notice until I was cutting out the masking tape around the logo - you do not have a period after the "F" in B.A.M.F

I suppose if you did do that with the font you use it would look like B.A.M.E

    Right?

Got a chance to try mines out today, having some fitment issues.
Anyone know what I may be doing wrong? I did quite a bit of moving around and can't get it to fit right.

Is it the axle clamp bolts not going in? those are side specific also it looks like your axle weld might be getting in the way of the axle clamp you can sand the axle clamp to fit around that weld I grind them down a little to compensate for that but they are all different. It is a very tight fit and the axle clamps will not fit flush unless it clears that weld.

If you can't get it shoot me a PM I will help you get it installed.

Hey Jerry, unfortunately I've got an issue with my skid. The front mounts are either too close or the bracket too wide by like a millimeter. I can't get both bolts to thread in. And this skid is way too solid, my attempts so far to spread the mounts a little have been unsuccessful. Any ideas what I can do here?

Oh, and it's not really a big deal but mine doesn't have a hole tapped for the parking brake line. I'm sure I can just drill a hole and find a self-tapping screw to take care of that.

The crazy thing is I mount everyone of these things before I box them up so they all have bolted up before shipping

Okay so i went out and checked some skids here is a shot of the skid threading one side in. I won't fit by threading just one side in first
    [IMG]

And the same skid threading both at the same time I know the fitment is tight but it should fit.

I had the same issue with mines, beat the shit out of it with a 3lb hammer and it barely budged. lol just goes to show how solid this thing is.

    Jerry,

I think the tolerances may be a little too tight on these, so far the product isn't just drop in like I thought. Although not a big deal to sand/grind down some spots, it's something I wish fit easier from the begining. I'll be grinding down the clamps a little today to hopefully get it to fit better, but gotta repaint again.

No regrets on this purchase at all, just having a few unexpected problems. Actually a friend may be interested in one as well after he see's how the armor looks mounted up. I'll send him your way if it works out Jerry. :D

Yeah the tolerances are tight but if I made them loose it wouldn't fit snug the weld on the axle is out of my hands it's different on every truck I've installed it on. Some went right around it ans some I had to do a little more grinding on for them to fit snug.

I HIGHLY recommend test fitting your skid before painting it slight modifications may need to be made to it for fitment.

Thanks for the reply, this should be posted on the first page so a few people have an idea.

This gives me an excuse to bust out the good ol' angle grinder that I've only used twice. :D
