    Yes it clicks into the tailgate where the tailgate clicks into the bed, and it hooks into the bed where the tailgate would if it was closes. Very secure, i plan to buy a full size one for my new truck and will trade if someone has one! Check it out, http://www.readyramp.com/

    The 0% on 2012s was the kicker. It took me a week, but I walked away VERY happy the deal on the Tundra.
