    I havent heard anything but praise on all of the XD pistols. They are reliable, accurate.

    nice i tried out the glock and xd xd fit my hand a whole lot better

    I've shot everything from sigs, glocks, FN's, Xd's, M&P's and more.

    As far as ergonomics goes, i've noticed the M&P is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone.

    I love my 220 and 226, since they are so comfy. They are also heavy.

    My M&P feels just as filling and comfy as my sigs, but its markedly lighter.

    The XD always felt unbalanced to me

    was it a gen4 glock? the gen4 glock has a couple of back strap inserts to fit different sizes of of hands.

    on to your original question. the XD is an awesome firearm. i think you will be happy with it

    I love my XD, but I must agree with this ^. It DOES feel a little unbalanced especially compared to an M&P. I love my XD .40 subcompact but it's not my only weapon, either.

    I have 3 Glocks...and sold an XD




    Now that I'm done being an asshole

    If you're looking for a polymer pistol, I figure everyone has 3 choices
    Glock, Springfield XD, and S&W M&P

    I think theyre all pretty well designed, but it'll be up to the end user to determine which one is for him

    I'd first go handle all 3 at the same time

    The Glock grip angle is not for everyone, but it's a very well thought out design

    The Glock trigger is not for everyone, but it's not a bad trigger once you actually shoot it a bunch and get familiar with the firearm

    I've seen sentiments before about tough follow up shots with a Glock compared to an XD, but I had the opposite problem

    Love my XD9. Have put 3000+ round through it and has never ever had even a hint of a problem. Super accurate. Shot my buddies XD45 on saturday and its the same deal. Shoots great. ONLY thing i would trade my XD for is a XDm. Damn California Roster.

    I have an XD-M 9mm and I love it. I've shot quite a few pistols and while it isnt a Kimber Custom or anything, its a great reliable gun.

    The guy I bought mine from has several contracts with county sheriff's offices and one with the local PD for services and sales.

    You observation, in your hand. I did not like the M&P ergos nor trigger pull compared to the XDm, but that is MY oberservation in MY hand.

    Tiger said it best. Get all of your choices, line them up on the bench and try them all at the same time. I lined up the M&P, XDm and a Glock. I preferred the Springfield.

    My dad has a .40 Xd and my grandfather has a .40 glock. The Xd blows the Glock away in terms of ergos and i think even accuracy. The M&P's to me seem to lack in quality, but they are all excellent guns.
