Yeah I understand thr spacers work but i don't want to use them. I'd rather just find wheels that will work.

then you need to get wheels with 4.0 backspace or lower.

What part of the rim is hitting the caliper? Some 15" weels dont fit Tacomas (not sure about your year0 because of the bulky calipers

Caliper clearance is more about the design of the specific wheel than backspacing.

You can have two different style wheels with identical backspacing, and one will clear, while the other hits the caliper.

Exactly. Stock wheels are backspaced way over 4" and they still fit. Its design

did you by chance get the Soft8 wheels? if so, there are threads on that wheel going back over 10 years about them hitting the brake vein on the tacoma calipers...

if you went with D Window steel wheels, you should be ok so long as the backspace is not less than 3.75"

    hit enter too soon...

anywho, if you already have the wheels, your only option is to run the small spacer that Johnnie posted up...

if you haven't ordered them yet, consider sticking to the D Window in a 3.75" backspace... if you can find it in 4" that would be good too, but most 15" steel wheels will be 3.75" or less backspace...

if you get into alloys, you will likely end up stepping up into 16" but that would give you a good backspace between 4.25" and 4"

im currently running Eagle Alloy Series 100 which are a black alloy in 3.625" backspace...

I at first had a D windows wheels and the back spacing was 3.75 and they were still hitting a little but.

just like Mike said... I have D window wheels and they fit fine..they are pretty close to the caliper but they clear...I really think it depends on the year your tacoma is, I believe some years they just rub...so I say either shave a little bit of the caliper which won't harm anything or just get some small spacers...

If you don't mind me asking, what are the specs on those D window wheels.

15x8s? Do you know the offset or the backspacing? Where did you purchase them?

Yea np, they're procomp 52 series: 16x8 with 4" backspace...I got them from 4wheelparts..and btw these are steel wheels so they're heavier than alloy so make sure the to get them balanced at the right place, took me a couple times to make sure there's no vibration..
