you guys gotta realize if the skid was loose it would be completely pointless. it needs to be an extremely tight fit for it to work correctly.

did threading both in at the same time work?

I understand what you mean. Needless to say, some of them will need a little work that could only be done for each truck since it's not the same. I like working on this kind of stuff (rarely get the chance), my comments earlier were only in regards to not knowing I needed to do some adjustments. So it lead me to believe there was something wrong with mines.

First time fitting it looks badass though, the green is pretty obnoxious but I like the way it looks. Hopefully get the chance to work on it when I get home from work, tomorrow and tuesday look like rain.

Jerry has been more than helpful in answering my many many questions, and it's extremely appreciated.

Yeah we ended up grinding the pinion top mount just a bit to clearance it. Then had to persuade to get it to start threading. After that hit with the impact gun and got her on tight.

My axle welds got in the way of the clamp as well. I just hit it with a BFH a few times to make it fit. With as tight as the skid is on the diff, I think it would probably hold itself up even without the bolts and clamps.

Just got home and took another look at it. I turned one bolt in maybe half a turn and was able to get just the tip (snicker) of the other bolt in. Then put a wrench on it and I was able to thread them both in.

Nothing needs be done all you need to do is remove the 12mm bolt holding that bracket on and flip it up to the bracket above it. I'll post a picture later today.

That's all that needs to be done is move it here

Also remove the hard line bracket to mount the skid and then you can move the hard line up a little so it clears the brake line.
