Anyone made a brush guard or bull bar?

I'm looking to put a bull bar on my truck. I'm looking into building my own. I've took some tubing to a muffler shop to bend but they couldn't do it. They said bending at a 90 degree won't bend right. Wondering if anyone has made one or had any advice on making one.

 

IIRC you need a mandrel bender, and they probably have the benders that do the crush (I think it's called) bending, er the ones that come out looking all ribbed and whatnot, is why they refused the work.

 

Who would have one of these?

 

A muffler shop MIGHT have it, but not all of them. I'd bust out the phonebook and make some calls to the ones in your area and ask them if they have a mandrel bender and if they'd be willing to bend something for you.
