El Centro

I need some info, are there any offroad shops in El Centro? If not do you guys think there would be enough business to keep one going?

 

I'm sure there are a couple but just dont know who or exactly where they are.

As far as buisness goes consider this, Glamis is close by & although its desert season other than the big holidays that draw the huge crowds its pretty much a ghost town..

The Glamis store makes its yearly/seasonal gross/net profits in those few big holidays

If offroad fab & repair is what you're getting at, if you have the skills/tools/parts available on these huge holidays pretty sure you'd make bank, alot of these guys already spend about a $1000. a weekend for gas/food/recreationals ($300 for a fillup for RV's & more for their toys) If something breaks they will almost always pony up the cost of repairs instead of loading up & going home.....

 

I'm planning on a full service offroad shop, the glamis travel would be a big part but I dont want to depend on it to keep the doors open. I have a possible oppertunity in El Centro thats the reason i'm thinking of a shop in the area.

 

Ok, time to do a market survey on this region , find out the population & break it down from there, age/sex/etc; . Then start checking out your competition see how busy they stay on the off seasons, find out how many (roughly) offroaders there are (& types of offroad vehicles used)

You may not want to depend on the big seasonal weekends "to keep the doors open." but you're not going to find too many potential customers once the temp hits 105-110 & stays there for more than a month at a time, something to consider anyway, good luck....
