Ok to mix Toyota red and pink coolant?

03 prerunner v6 calls for 10+ quarts after complete drain and flush. Ok for me to use 1 gal of the red diluted with distilled, and top off with prediluted pink? Couple bucks cheaper...

 

Should be okay, as IIRC the pink stuff is just diluted toyota Red coolant


I just drained the block and radiator, did a flush w/ distilled water, and use Prestone. No problems for 60K miles

 

Assumed so, but spend enough time on the various sites and you'll find people saying it shouldn't be mixed. But figured them the same...

 

I wouldn't mix other colors (prestone green and toyota red), if you misunderstood my post.

 

yeah, toyota pink is the just mixed toyota red and water.

dont mix green n red
