Man I would say thats a deal. The sticker on my 07 TRD 4X4 same color access cab was $31,500. and I had to put the skid plate and add wheels at my end, I mean I caught them on a day they had to sell 5 and got it for 23.500 but sounds solid to me.

That seems very high for a 08 access cab. In about 6 months that vehicle will be 2 years old, when the 2010's start coming out. I would check & see what the value of a used 2008 is. Even though this is new. You will lose huge when you drive it off the lot. It will drop to the value of a used 2008 the moment it hits the street.

Toyota didn't offer a 0% for 60 months. I think the 0% was for 36 months. With excellent credit.

New 2009 Tacoma - 0.0%/36 Months APR or $1500 cash back

    That's what I'm say'n!

But you do bring up a point and I told the dealership this too. That Toyota will be starting to release there 2010 line here in the next few months and well there still holding strong at there price of $27 OTD  for this one.

We'll see, I had a trade in before,But now I've sold my trade privately and I'll see if the cash rather then trade card plays out any better.

Like I said before for a 4X4 with the Baja Wheels and a skid plate and since you have the money I would buy it. Try to keep the stealership on your terms however for that truck I stand by it being a good deal.

For CA that might be a good deal, since your cost of living is much higher than the rest of the country. But on the east coast not a good deal for a 2 year old truck.

Well having grown up in VA and having one of my best friends that has worked at one of the largest Toyota dealers for the past 11 years I continue to stand by my comments. If this is in fact is such a bad deal find this guy a better one. Apples for apples sometimes you have to pay for what you want, I am not talking about an SR5 or any other modals. I admit it has set on the lot for a year however pulling 5k off the sticker of anything seems to be a fair deal. Now having said all that don't cave into the dealership! Tell them what you will pay and feel is fair. If they decide not to take it, walk! If it has been on the lot for some time they will call you.

I understand your point of view. From my past experience I would not pay what they want. & drive off the lot & lose big on value the same day.

And to that I also see your point. What it really comes down to is does this guy want that truck or any Tacoma. If the plan is to keep it for at least 3 years the value will not hurt as bad. In my mind if you don't plan to keep it for at least 5 years I would never buy a new vehicle. Having bought a new Tacoma in 97, and both a 4Runner and a Tacoma in 07 I would say they all lose about 4k when you drive them off the lot in the best case scenario.

Most important thing is. Are you happy with the truck & this deal? If you can sleep good at night then pull the trigger & buy it.

I know, it is fine for us to disagree or agree. The price is decent. The only issue I had was it was 2 years old already.
