Sticker on a well equipped is 42ish. Rebate take off 4-7 grand. Then whatever you can get your dealer to take off. I walked out at 32k. Payments are in low 500s.

Resale on Toyota isn't that so awesome FYI. I just went through that. It wasn't bad but it isn't so much better than any of the big companies. Our Honda we traded had a higher resale vs price than the Tacoma.

LMAO!! @ the video! There's a reason Ford went from 13th in reliability, down to 20th in one year.

That is also why the 2012 F-150 is Motor Trend Truck of the Year.

Its sad that the guy just didn't get his tires balanced. I can make any truck do that with some wheel weights in the wrong place.

TOTY isnt determind on reliability. Much like FOrds bragging about being the "Best selling truck......". They sell the most, 'cause they are cheap. You can get a full size Ford for less than a Tacoma. BUT, you sacrifice reliability, and resale value.

I am not sure of your back ground in mechanics but what you just described is the exact symptom of having a bad balance.

Vibrations at certain speeds which are usually above 50 mph is bad balancing.

I just to let everyone know I love vacountryboy...

I am happy for you and your paid off truck. I usually get a new truck every three years. Also been one that likes to keep up with technology.

Be carefull of how you romp on it. Seems that a nice hard run in 3rd gear, can over heat the exhaust, and throw the engine into Prius HP zone...

Also, seems the real world dynos are showing peak torque to be around 4000 rpm. So much for Fords claims....

Which dyno sheet is that? All I have seen max torque is around 2200. I know people have been having issues getting a dyno to get good reading that low since most dynos are built to read higher rpms where most performance cars make big power. Also the curve is very broad and flat across the entire rpm band.

I google searched it. I think it was Trucks.com. Dynos simply read the power to the wheels. They can read low, as I have dynoed a couple diesels with no issues.

On that is produced max torque at 2900.

Looks like the 5.0 holds its torque much longer.....So much for the flat torque claims by Ford.
