    If I might speculate...

    Given Chris4x4's known love of shenanigans, I'm guessing he made use of his access rights to tinker with files on the server for some unauthorized and mischievous purpose. But the tinkering had the unintended side effect of introducing a data corruption error, that, once started, got worse and worse. :eek:
