for example. we lost trucks, people were scattered. and when stopping for lunch or at the beginning or end of trails they stopped and made their own little circle for lunch,

it took hours to do minutes worth of trails...

haha, that happened to us(brandonh,ebrudah,SiRMarlon,dtrujillo63, Ackerlight, and myself) a few years ago. We got left behind from the beginning while we were waiting for their own group to fuel up...we ended up babysitting a few and helped with some recoveries...sucks trying to recover a taco that had no recovery points whats so ever. Fun times

We had no choice but to wrap the strap around the frame at the base of the bumper since his rear was buried all the way to his axle housing, he was also in a tight sandy canyon where we couldn't get a vehicle in front of him even tho we tried with two different tacos. The strap inadvertently bent his bumper up and we got shit for that. Other choice was to not help and just leave him like the original group did... we don't do that in my group

funny thing was..at first he was cool with everything because he was there of course. But when pics of the recovery were posted by SiRMarlon and with him mentioning the bumper was bent during the process. Some peeps started talking shit and then this guy kinda changed him mind as well. But this happened like in 2009 and everyone is cool now. I even helped that guy out several months later when his rear wheel fell off on the Santiago trail by giving him my AAA for a free tow. Come to think about, I never got a thank-you for that.

Anywhere where its not going to cause damage to the strap . On the leaf spring shackle would be ideal but i think that's what you mean

the best way is to hook to frame or hitch if you dont have a good bumber with tow point. i try to never connect to any suspension but in a bind the leaf shackle can work
