Illegal window tint?

Im getting my front windows' tint redone, since its starting to peel because i used messed up cleaner. The limit in FL is really stupid on the front. Do you guys think bribing the people could work in asking them to put illegal tint on?

The shop is run by a 60 year old lady, and the guy who does the tint barely speaks english but does a good job.

 

All the shops here will tint anyway you want for 25$ extra and they make you sign a doc saying that you know the tint is illegal. I have my front window tinted in my Integra and double limo all the way around, with a flash light you can barley see in it at night.

If you're asking yourself if you have to bribe your tint guy you need to find a new shop. I've never heard of a tint shop that won't put on tint that's beyond the legal limit.

 

where at in flordia? I have a buddy that is down there that has his own tint shop

 

They might do it but just not give you a reciept. Others out there including myself have what is considered (illegal) window tint. A cop wont pull you over because of it. But it will give them something to write you a ticket for if you ever get pulled over. Also remember when inspection time comes around you might not get passed because of it. Good Luck.

 

Shops will usually go as dark as you want. It's not their fault if you get a ticket. That's how it is in Cali, anyway. The place I got my tint from will actually redo your tint for free if you get a ticket.

That would have been the only think to keep me from getting illegal tint. I'll deal with a ticket if I get one, which around here they typically could care less. I've had plenty of cops next to me at traffic lights with my 15% and they never look twice. And luckily in PA they don't care about tint for the annual safety inspection.

 

Around here the shops will tint you past the limit, you just don't get a receipt.

 

the place i got it done at didnt charge me more, they just simply didnt put it on my receipt so in theory on paper it says they never did my front windows

 

Got a tint guy in the family. He'll tint my windshield limo if I wanted but that's a bad idea lol

I've only been to one shop that wouldn't do lower than the limit, worst tint job I've seen btw, but most shops don't care. A shop in Augusta GA put 30% on the windshield of my friends Ford, that's over the entire windshield not just the AS1 line or whatever it is. He now has 30% windshield, 5% drivers and passenger side windows, 1% rear side and rear glass.

 

And looking for advice on how to break the law...Not on TW.
