Alright so about 3 weeks ago I was backed into in a parking lot and there is paint missing on the front fender on the passenger side. I didn't want to get insurance of the authorities involved because the scratch was minor but still noticeable. I told her that if she gave me 100$ then I would take care of the rest, she agreed and told me that it would take her two weeks to get the money. Its been 3 weeks and she is not paying up. What should I do? I also drive a 2010 Access cab tacoma.

Tell her you'll be filing in small claims court if she doesn't comply with your agreement.

This is telltale. If she wouldn't just go to an ATM and withdraw $100 (overdraft if necessary) to settle a collision, you should've gone through insurance.

I'd blow it off. It's a truck. If I needed it fixed, I'd pay it forward - it's Christmas after all.

I know for sure no matter how much paint is missing it is going to cost you more than $100 to fix.

Your SOL, cops are going to do jack since it has been to long and you will have to take her to court. Which is gonna cost you time and money as well. Take it as a lesson learned.

My wife had the same thing happen. It was from a younger lady. Ended up trying to shaft us but my wife went and made a police report so we just called her insurance company and they took care of it. Did not hurt our insurance in anyway. I did show up at her work first and she shit herself I knew where she worked. Oh the power of the internet and her being a political nut led me right to her.

I'd call her back and tell her that you thought about it and would like to report it to insurance.

Not that you really would call insurance but maybe that would light a fire under her butt.

Or perhaps she lost your contact info...

Yes, the cost to fix the paint was over $200!

Although, I do suppose you're right, filing a claim will take too much time and effort that I just don't have time for. I guess I shouldn't be so nice next time.

And I also visited this young lady at her work yesterday. She was not too pleased to see me. She told me that she will get paid next week but I wasn't buying it this time because thats what she told me 2 weeks ago.

Good idea although she probably knows that I wouldn't call insurance because I'm a pretty laid back guy. Anyways I can't call her because she blocked my number.
