So, I hit a deer and not only busted my bumper and grill but one of my headlights too. I would really like black headlights but I'm not sure what my smartest option will be: A) I can by a used light and "TRY" to do the BHLM myself or B) I can buy a set from rcfreak and "try" to sell my good headlight and my one with a broken tab.

    Thoughts...opinions welcome...

    Thanks in advance!

simply do it yourself. It is super easy. People just freak themselves out when they say to put it in the oven. Also grab some silicone to help make sure you sealed them

Buy a used one and do the mod yourself. It's not hard to do if you follow the steps.

I think I will save the most money doing it myself also.

Bought a used OEM light off eBay for $80.00. Is that a good price?

For a pair or for one light? I purchased a pair used on here for $100, used and in good shape, no broken tabs or leaks.

For one light in great condition. I figured if insurance is paying 220ish, then was coming out ahead.

True, plus it's tough to find someone willing to sell only 1 light.
