Want new headlights

any suggestions? I was considering spyder halo projectors?

 

BHLM the ones you have and retrofit them with projectors. By far the best light output you can get and they look the best of all the options in my opinion. A lot of aftermarket projector style headlights actually reduce the light output.

To hell with that, retrofit them yourself and spend $300 on parts, $30 on a case of beer and make a weekend of it! In my opinion, if you're going to pay someone to do it for you, it's not a cost effective mod. The morimoto isn't terribly difficult, it's just getting over tearing the head light apart. There haven't been a lot of "I just completely f-ed up my retrofit" threads so people don't seem to be having trouble with it once they make up their mind to do it. In the OPs other thread, I recommended finding a local member to help out with the install. I see your point but still think it's the best upgrade to your headlights. I think it should be put out there as an option and let them decide if it's something they want to tackle

 

Stunt Man Hans has done a few of the lighting options on his and spent a fortune doing so (I can't remember who he hired to do his retrofit but they're pretty insane). If you take your time, you can definitely have a nice, factory looking light but it does take time. That's why I suggest buying a second set to mess with then selling your originals at the end. If you try to do the tear down and rebuild in a day, you're going to rush and that's when mistakes happen. The process in itself isn't overly challenging though, which is why I'd urge people to do it themself rather than pay close to $1,000 for someone else to do it for them.

Personally, I didn't want to deal with projectors so I went with the BHLM and good halogen bulbs. I think with the shape of the front of the truck, the dual projectors from some of the aftermarket lights looks out of place.

I just dont know how to do the retros and i only do 05+ models. couldnt tell from your bio because it just says "prerunner" but check out my thread and pm me if you want to be added to the list, turn around time is about 1-2.5 weeks!

ive had halo projectors in the past and they look kinda cool but the light sucks even with HIDs and they leaked all the time..

 

stay stock or save up and go retro..

 

Yosh did those levelers, search Ultimate Retro or Ultimate Retrofit (can't remember which). It's an awesome install!

Definitely stay away from any of those halo projectors. They're all garbage. Either keep what you have, or do a BHLM and/or a retrofit. More money, but worth it.
