    I put lights on my truck last year, and my whole family thought I was nuts. But that was the whole point of the excersize!

    I thought Xmas lights was the reason for the outlet in the back...

    ok we haz a problem :pout: i came out this morning and half the lights had fallen :( the left side is down the right side is still good. at first i was going to ziptie them on but nowhere to do that, so i ended up using tape...mom suggested electrical tape :)facepalm:) it seemed like it was going to hold but not so much, we have gorilla tape, but i didnt want goo stuck all inside my camper shell.

    so any suggestions?

    That sucks, ya electrical tape is not really good for that. Duct tape, but that may leave some stickyness. How about maybe a packing tape?

    im pretty sure packing tape wont stick, its probably worse than electrical, since the inside is fiberglass. im probably gonna have to use duct tape and figure out how to get the residue off. i was just hoping there was another option.

    What about some of that adhesive for those wall hooks 3M sells? You know, the ones where you can stick a hook to your wall and pull it off later and not damage your drywall?

    If nothing else, stick a few of those hooks up, and use them to hang lights or to hook your zip ties on.

    Is the inside of the cap smooth? A little lighter fluid will take the glue right off, or Goo-Gone works too. Oh and WD-40 will take the glue off too.
    Thats a good idea, except they only work down to a certain temp. I think its in the lower 50's it says on the package they won't work. I looked into those for hanging wreaths on outside of window, thats the only reason I know that.

    no its raw fiberglass i guess...where its rigid and bumpy, it would probably work if it was smooth
