crappin A man, that's a long drive for a ride.
I mostly lost motivation after my eye injury (not mtb related), still got my sleds but gotta situate some bills.

Theres a monster group ride this weekend in the Corona area that will have over 100 riders present.

    Nice bike!
I'm a bit jealous this time of year, regular bike season is over up here. I gotta put the studded Nokians on my Klein and head out, but I'm feeling kinda old for winter riding these days tho...as I load the wood stove...

Haven't totaled the Intense build up yet, but I saved a lot. I wasn't in a big hurry, I bought it all a few pieces at a time, and mostly during the 20-30% off sales from Cambria, Huck n Roll, Pricepoint and a few others. But at least $3k.

Thanks guys! I was wanting to get a new seat, but I'm starting to get used to this Fi'zi:k one. I really want to lower it more though. I have it as far down as it will go and I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to trim the post down?

I had a $100 mongoose that I had bought at wal-mart a few months before I really got into biking. An old friend was telling me about the difference between a wal mart MB and one he bought at an actual MB store (can't remember the brand). anyways, man he was right! comparing the two bikes is night and day! I ended up getting a trek and it was so much lighter, the gearing is way better(much better for climbing hills), and I love the suspension. On my first time out I managed to bend the front rim on the mongoose, and the trek has held up just fine for the last year or so.

The technology works pretty well on motorcycles and although you see mx bikes with it, it has been adapted (successfully) to at least the KTM 990 Adventure--there's a whole thread about it on www.advrider.com that explains a lot of how it works.

I would be curious about the weight as well as any loss in the transfer of power when the AWD is activated.

Well she's finally finished! Wheels arrived this afternoon so I wasted no time in getting everything setup. Now if it could just stop raining. :(
