Please refer to my previous post

It may not take much off but it's worth at least checking for runout.

lol... how does that make them warp?..... I have seen cheap rotors come in out of round but we never had a complaint... it's not enough to cause brake pulsation... plus if you have 82k of brakes on those rotors... I think you should stop being cheap and just replace them anyways.... it can lead to more problems in the long run...

If there is enough meat to turn them and they aren't warped, then turn them. Easy as that.

It has 82k... they probably have some meat but not enough that I would like to turn.... I don't recommend keeping the rotors if it gets within 25 percent of the minimum... just not worth it... they will have to buy rotors more than likely within the next 6 months depending on how much driving and braking they do... just my experience as a tech... then what?... you have to pay a tech to have them removed and replaced... saves you money...

I see your point, but might as well measure them first to see how close they are. On a truck like mine that sees almost all highway miles, 82k on a set of rotors wouldn't be that bad.

that's true but even then some rotors aren't very thick to begin with... most IS250 or 350s... you can't even cut them once.... period...
