well im only gettin between 180-210 miles a tank max, thats like 11-12 miles a gallon.. Thats with no ethanol fuel. That mileage sucks, what could be my issue. Maybe a dirty fuel filter, it seems my truck has lost power, like im carring 500 lbs in the truck, maybe brakes sticking or is this mileage normal ,its got 15k on it. Tires are at right inflation and this has been goin on for bout 3 to 4 weeks. Its a mix of highway and city driving. Opinions:confused: before i go to stealership..

Also goin on a 1700 mile vaction trip next month and want to resolve before then.. Thanks

That's terrible-go to autozone or discount auto parts and get them to scan your OBDII for codes. If no codes are found try discoing the neg.batt. terminal for about 15-30 min and reconn.Other than that just look for clogged air filter ,vacc.hoses discoed ,and also check the MAF sensor wires THOROUGHLY.Hope this helps.

Yowsa! You're not kidding..... As you posted in your thread, I'd check the air filter first. Second, I'd check all fluids (rearend, tranny, engine....)

If there was there a mod that you noticed the big change you may need to reset the computer. Me personally, I had to reset the comp with a battery disconnection after a couple of mods (CAI, chip, Exhaust...) and afterwards I did see the mileage come back up.

With only 15000 if it doesn't come easy, I'd take it in and make the dealer fix it since you still have tons of warranty left. Woo hoo for 36000 bumper to bumper!

It's either too much throttle or something's discoed or dirty.

I'd go to the dealer, it is under warranty and Toyota is started to finally have lower profits so they still want to keep you as a customer.

If the dealer charges you for something, don't accept. Tell them you have a waranty and it's BS for them not to ackgnowledge it.

thats was i was thinking that somethin may be clogged majorly. Its soo damn cold out i cant do anything now. No leadfoot here i baby the piss out of it but sometimes i think i should just beat on it since im not seein results gas mileage wise. Also my maintence required light came on today, so who knows what that bout. The only mods i got is a muffler and stereo system and tires. Like i stated before it seems ive lost some power lately doesnt have the get up and go it had before????? Ill call dealer and see what happens

got an appt for thurs morning. They said it could be a number of things from a clogged cat to fuel filter and air filters, fluid levels. They said my maintence light is on cause i need oil change. They could not answer my power loss question tho....Well see!. I told them what most of you guys said it could be and its all in comp. now. Thanks

The tires could have something to do with it. The new tires look to be the same size but did the tread pattern change much like to more of a mud tire.

i have an 05 DCSB, i'm getting 15.6 MPG city/hwy (mostly hwy).. i'm not happy about it, i have always used sonoco, i'm going to experiment by switching brands.. also i have a TRD CAI and TRD exhaust, i don't think that should effect much though.. good luck!

Not much but it should be giving you at least 16.5MPG, easier breathing and easier farting is always a good thing.
Hell, even 2.5K should be ok.

if ur at a steady speed on a highway/interstate, as soon as u cross that 2k mark, the mpg's start to plummet
