Grillcraft, BDF lightbar, PIAA 520's. Done

If you have pondered doing it, stop.
It's well worth the time and the effort. As someone who drives through snow, rain, and fog with some regularity, it made sense for me to add more severe weather lighting. This solution could not be easier. The wiring is easy, the grill is easy to install, and the lightbar is very well made.



Oh yea. This forum. Like crack. And a black hole for my wallet.

Might just do that.. For now, enough other projects to work on with other vehicles.. This was kinda a born of necessity mod (but if your gonna do it, might as well make it look good).

You say that it makes sense for you to have better lighting for severe weather?

What style are your beams then? They better be fog lights, because any driving light or pencil beam won't help you at all in bad wearer (it'll just bounce off the precipitation).

I know it's fun to add lights and stuff and bad weather can be a good excuse, but if you are going to rely on these I thought I'd let you know... I'm not even sure if a fog light mounted that high would do very much better than the OEM fog's

 

More than aware of the use of the fogs.
THey are the piaa ion crystal lenses, in a driving pattern. Cut the nastyness, and shine through, and are aimed lower than they could be. Also have the factory fogs.
They do a great job for what i want them for.
