I've never been to a meet either. Didn't intend to sound like a weirdo - I just like our kind of truck.

I don't remember being able to search alphabetically on ipod. I have to look into that but I'm pretty sure you can only scroll. The navigation is decent I mounted the gps puck on top of the deck so its hidden. So the reception is inaccurate but I do get reception. I've use the nav once and it worked ok for my needs almost better than the nav on my lexus. You can always change the guidance voice. There was a lot to choose from.

I'm so jealous. I think this is my only option. As much as I love the factory nav option, this is a close second.

Oh the eq is preset like theres pop, jazz, vocal, etc, than custom. You can adjust bass, treb, midd, and bbe. There's an extra harness that you can purchase to connect 5.1 surround. That harness has all the rca plugs.

Hmmm, ok. That may be an issue.. with me least.. I have like almost 5k songs and it would be a PITA to scroll through it all to find something i want to listen to.

That's weird, where else do they expect you to put the gps puck? Lol. Where else CAN you put it? I'm coming from no navi so anything would be great for me. :)

Oh ok, the eq isn't a deal breaker, just would be nice. I finally got my pioneer with a 7 band eq all dialed in.. so is just have to go back to the basics. Lol. It does support a subwoofer right? Lol if so, hopefully I can control the sub power, bass, etc. Dammit I'm on a spot! Haha.

Nice find TRDsport253, I may just pick one of these up...

Agreed. Not fun, or safe. Lol I love that about my pioneer. You can search alphabetically. So fast.

Thanks for the link, I've read it many times already tho. I've researched this thing as much as I can.. not a lot of detailed reviews, info, or videos on it yet.

If I remember correctly there's a keypad popup. So I guess you can skip through the song or artist by track #.

I'm still loving my Rosen deck so far. I since used the navigation and its not up to par but I think that's because I have the GPS antenna mounted on top of the deck. With that said where do you guys mount your GPS antenna on your truck? I still would like a clean install and mount it somewhere hidden inside the truck.

hmmm, what ahout under the hood? Or up into the sunglasses holder if you dont use it? Maybe all the way back to the rear of the cab somewhere? Hopefully you can Improve on the navi with adjusting that thing.. since the navigation is a major part of that headunit. Best of luck. Keep us posted.

Oh and that keypad you said that pops up, does it have letters you can search? Cuz that would possibly be an alphabetical search function for music.

Haha, I'm still waiting for an email reply from Rosen. I asked a couple questions about It. If they reply with some good news, ill definitely be pullin the trigger on one of these. :). BUT.. I have a feeling the two things I'm looking for aren't supported on this unit. :(

The keypad that pop up are numbers. For example say you went in Artist and you have 50 artists on there and say Eminem is somewhere in the beginning you can enter 5. But if you have more artist starting with E you have to do some guessing. Still not as good as searching alphabetically but it works. Also what did you ask Rosen I can try to answer for you to best of my knowledge.

Yeah guys I guess to get that factory look you have to sacrifices some neat features that the aftermarket has. On another note I'm in the process to hookup the factory backup camera. It's going to be a project.

Hey Josh, did Rosen ever email you back? I was on their website and they do have an interface for the ipod that does alpha search. It's the the piranha series. I wonder if they can update that interface to the factory look series. Here's a link and the info is on page 3. http://rosenentertainment.com/Piranha Sell Sheet - Oct 2011.pdf
